Have you seen the 'Ghost Signs' along Main Street?
Ghost signs are the remnants of old advertising hand painted on the sides of the buildings. Seneca's downtown buildings have several of these signs still visible. Unfortunately, some have been painted over or are too faded to recognize.
For additional information on Seneca's Ghost Signs, check out the research done by Maggie Hammes Glissman at FadingHistory.org
One of those Ghost Signs was recently brought back to life when Jolene Luebbe Holthaus worked with Dick Miller to restore the John Deere sign on the side of the old Luebbe Hardward or Buggy Days building.
